KFC Family – Welcome to OUR House!

A strong family organization gets its form and strength in the same way a house does.  With a solid foundation that holds everything up and in place. Our KFC family organizations need a strong foundation to build greatness on as well.  We all want the glitz and glamour of a dream family, and we often dream of that like we do a dream house. Much like that dream house, we need to pay attention to the foundation of who and what we are building. And we are, building something great!

We see the house from the outside but under each successful organization is a strong family foundation of values that are followed every day, values that the Colonel instilled in us. We need to take the time to lay that foundation for everyone involved.  The stronger the foundation is laid in values, the easier it is to build success.

Although we all have a seat at the table as a family, we can get distracted. A family meeting is an opportunity to accomplish something specific in person without any distractions from the outside world. During our family meeting in Austin, we will communicate operational procedures, deal with specific problems, gather information about change, reinforce brand values, share timely information, learn to manage solutions, and celebrate achievements.

Whether you come a little early, stay a little late, or carve out some time in between the Convention, discover all that this vibrant Convention and city has to offer.

On Sunday, February 26th from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., attendees may check in by last name at the AKFCF Registration Desk to pick up namebadges and tickets.

Reservations may also be made by phone at: 1-800-542-8680. Please advise that you are attending the AKFCF 2023 Convention to receive the group rate. All attendees are encouraged to book their rooms at the JW Marriott or the Marriott Downtown to help ensure that the AKFCF fills itscontracted room block to avoid attrition fees.

Please visit the Bonvoy website for details on each hotel’s accommodations. The above rates are per guestroom, per night, for up to four (4)occupants. Rates are subject to a 17% sales tax.

The hotels are only a few blocks away from each other. The Marriott Downtown is closest to the Convention Center.

Rates are honored three (3) days prior and post-Convention dates at the JW Marriott. Deposit of one night’s room and tax required at the time ofbooking. Changes and cancellations must be made within 72    hours of the scheduled arrival day to avoid one night’s penalty fee.

The deadline for hotel reservations at the group rate is February 2, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. eastern time.


Air – Austin Bergstrom International Airport is 6.6 miles from the JW Marriott and Marriott Downtown. Both hotels are within walking distance from the business district and famed 6th street. They are near the city’s best restaurants, shopping entertainment and nightlife.

Ground – Taxis and ride shares are available from the airport. The hotels do not offer a roundtrip shuttle service to or from the airport.

Parking – Valet parking is available at $56 per day for all hotels guests. Self-parking is $51 per day.

Odds and Ends

Business casual for meetings. Casual dress is appropriate for our event at Stubb’s BBQ.

Americans with Disabilities Act

The JW Marriott and Marriott Downtown are in full compliance with the ADA. Rooms are available for those with wheelchairsor hearing impairment. Please contact Kelly Rodenberg by February 2nd if you need special arrangements to attend theConvention.

Tax Considerations

You are advised that the U.S. Internal Revenue Code may limit the deductibility of registration fees and other costs associated with the Convention. Consult your tax advisor for detailed information.
